To visit a recycling centre you must make a booking. You can check when your next recycling and waste collection day is, search for what can and can’t be recycled, and to find your nearest recycling centre. Check if you will need a free permit before you travel to a waste and recycling centre. Other vehicle types are not allowed to enter a waste and recycling centre at all. Before you book, check if there are items you can recycle at home. We reserve the right to cancel any multiple bookings made in a 7 day period.
You simply reserve a 30-minute timeslot for security in the days before your arrival. Should you wish to use the site for household waste and you live in another borough you will be charged £3 each time you visit. If you want to cancel or amend your booking, visit the link in your booking confirmation email or text message. Now that the booking system is established, our recycling centre policy will be enforced.
What is Prebook Security?
Bags can be collected from the HWRC site Wednesday to Sunday, prior to your disposal booking. From Wednesday 8 April 2026, all visits to the HWRC casino not on gamstop must be booked in advance. Please note that CCTV is in operation at the tip and staff are fitted with body-worn cameras at all times. Remember that most items can be recycled rather than putting them in the general waste container.Please see the list below to see where the different containers are located.

We’ll aim to announce Weekend Happy Hour time slots on Thursdays for the coming weekend. So if you have two available and you’d like to use them the same weekend, just select two free slots on your online dashboard instead of one. - If you need assistance on site due to a protected characteristic, please indicate this on the booking form.
- When you arrive at the airport make your way to security departures and scan your boarding card at the gates denoted (Pre-booked Security)5.
- If you are bringing a trailer that is towed by a car you will need to make a booking.

If you’ve not received the order confirmation after 2 hours then check your junk / spam folder to ensure it hasn’t filtered into there. Due to high volumes of orders during the sale period, it can take up to 2 hours for your order confirmation email to arrive.
